North Korea has basically and effectively told Trump to piss off. His bizarre negotiating tactics and bragging managed to accomplish less than nothing. In fact, he made things worse.
At the same time, Trump has studiously ignored:
a. NK efforts to improve its delivery technology and increased testing, despite alleged promises to stop;
b. NK’s increasing threats to the South and Japan;
c. An increase in crackdowns against folks unhappy with Kim Jung Ugh; (A husband and wife were recently captured at the China border. Both were tortured to death, and experts fear the same for their extended families), and,
d. Rumors of NK improving the size and weight of the nuclear devices.
Recall his gloating and bragging just two years ago?
President Trump says the North Korean nuclear threat has dissipated since he signed a brief and vague joint statement with the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, on June 12. This claim overnight became a key part of Trump’s repertoire. The president has been making assurances about North Korea in virtually all of his public remarks.
On June 15, he went so far as to say he had “solved” the problem. But experts say Trump is getting ahead of himself and is exaggerating or flubbing sensitive details. The agreement with Kim is light on specifics, and much is riding on international negotiations now taking place. The threat, for now, is still looming.
To hear our White House or Trump’s security chiefs tell it, Trump brilliantly solved all Korean issues. Oooooops. This was today.
North Korea has blown up a joint liaison office with the South near the North's border town of Kaesong.
The move comes just hours after the North renewed threats of military action at the Korean border.
The site was opened in 2018 to help the Koreas - officially in a state of war - to communicate. It had been empty since January due to Covid-19 restrictions.
In a statement, South Korea warned it would "respond strongly" if the North "continues to worsen the situation".
The destruction of the office, it said, "abandons the hopes of everyone who wanted the development of inter-Korean relations and peace settlement in the Korean Peninsula".

But wait, that’s not all! If you call right now, we’ll double your reward!
Two other countries Trump has managed to piss off also realize the American emperor is wearing no clothes. India and China.
New Delhi — Twenty Indian Army soldiers were killed in a "violent face-off" with Chinese troops Monday night in the disputed Himalayan Galwan Valley, the Indian Army announced Tuesday. It is the first time in decades that the long-simmering border dispute has turned deadly, and there were reports of fresh violence on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Indian Army said "17 Indian troops who were critically injured in the line of duty at the stand off location and exposed to sub-zero temperatures in the high altitude terrain have succumbed to their injuries, taking the total that were killed in action to 20."
China's government did not confirm any deaths among its forces, but a Chinese military commander confirmed "casualties" in a statement released late Tuesday, giving no specifics. Indian government sources said there a total 43 killed and injured on the Chinese side, Indian news agencies reported.

Russia. Seeing a complete vacuum in the political leadership of the USA, Mother Russia announced:
a. An increased presence in both size and mobility in Crimea;
b. The enlargement of Russian Naval forces in the Baltic Sea, to be increased by 6 modern attack vessels;
www.msn.com/…
c. Increased aerial incursions over US skies, mainly over Alaska;
www.airforcetimes.com/…
d. Increased attacks on US internet and companies;
e. Increased disinformation against the West;
f. Gloating in public how their strategy to defend and destroy the USA has worked and continues to work; and,
g. Efforts to drive NATO apart even more.
American military and diplomatic efforts used to impress our friends and allies, and cause second thoughts to arise in the minds of our enemies. Given the inept clown show that infests our nation’s capital, no one across this flat earth is either impressed or afraid.
They see a clueless buffoon with a huge ego, seasoned with an inability to make long-term plans or strategies, an instinctive habit of making baseless, even outlandish threats, with nothing to back them up, and someone so fixated on appearances, polls and his re-election, that he will studiously ignore the growing firestorms across the world. What better time to show that arrogant Trump who really is boss?
OUR FRIENDS?
Yesterday, in the face of these growing threats, what did Trump do? Did he release carefully crafted public statements of intent and warning? Did he send a team to discuss Issues and cooperate with our friends who are at risk? Did he call up our NATO allies to consult and craft responses?
Hardly. Here is what he actually did do:
Trump Plans to Withdraw Some U.S. Troops From Germany, a Key NATO Ally.
The plan is a further blow to America’s weakening European alliances and likely to be welcomed by President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.
As always, the NYT bends over backwards to protect Trump. This is not “some troops.” This is more than 10,000 troops, including their equipment, intel resources, support staff and infrastructure, and ability to coordinate with NATO.
I don’t know what weapons will be used in the upcoming war, which Trump may deliberately trip off just to insure his re-election, but I do know the 4th world war will be fought with stones and arrows.
He is such a self-serving, closed minded, idiot, he may actually think that starting a war would be a positive for his 2020 campaign.
it is a serious, if not potentially deadly mistake to ignore the world around us, especially with our national election in just a few months. Distractions will abound, emotions will run high, and there will be no coordinated, unified government capable of crafting a serious response.
It would be foolhardy to ignore the potential, no, the likelihood that Trump will manufacture a crisis for his own benefit. Not that he will need to do much to make things worse.
After all, all polls normally show a rebound when our nation was attacked. (See generally, George W. Bush) Plus, in normal times, EVERY president knows there is a favorable poll bounce when a president takes a strong action. (Obama’s raid on Osama; The invasion of Grenada and Nicaragua; BushLeague’s invasion of IraqNam, and so much more)
My guess? Some joint attack on Iran with Israel. Not only will that distract Americans from the horribly inept job Trump is doing, but it will distract Israeli voters from the messes caused by Bibi.
Still, our military leaders seem well aware of Deer Leeder’s serious shortcomings. I think the mea culpas we saw quite recently were driven, in part, by a need to reassure the public that while Trump may be insane, our current military leaders are not. But, when Trump appoints Jarad as a temporary replacement for the head of the Joint Chiefs, watch out.
