Well now Rudy Giuliani has asked to make an appearance in the case for the Trump campaign. His application says he’s a member of the DC Bar in good standing (seeking pro hac vice status). But he’s suspended for not paying his bar fees.
This lawyering is a joke.
People join the DC bar because it will allow reciprocity for any other jurisdiction once you pass the bar. And DC is the one jurisdiction that does not have a continuing legal education requirement (I doubt Rudy could pass the mandatory ethics training).
I expect the judge to throw him out if not worse — because Rudy’s filing in court contains (as noted above) a patently false statement of fact. Guess $20,000 per day can’t buy the best legal talent.
