Everyone keeps talking about the spirit and determination of Texans. It is not just Texans, it is Americans. We are strong, we are good, we are humane, and we are strong. Hit us with 50 inches of rain in two days and we will regroup using social media to survive and rebuild. Lie about sending 6000 troops to help and only send just over a 1000. Fine, we can take care of ourselves and we are.
When we are working hard to to survive, recover, and rebuild: go ahead, try to deport hundreds of thousands of our hard working fellow Americans. We will build a wall of humans to protect those fellow Americans, a better wall than yours. A stronger wall. We will build it with our protests, our calls, and eventually our votes.
Talk about tax reform aka tax cuts for the wealthy and the largest corporations while a Cat 5 hurricane is bearing down on Florida with another forming in the Atlantic. The east coast will prepare and do what is needed — just like Texas did. We are survivors. We are Americans.
You think we are distracted? Busy yes. Distracted no. Make no mistake about it; we are all still watching Washington — the lies, cruelty, cowardice, and racism.
We are watching. WE THE PEOPLE will do what we have to to protect our own.

While we do that, thanks to all who have offered to keep the campaign fundraising going here. The strength and spirit of Texans has never let us down before. We the people. --Dayna Steele
