Update: Thanks for the Recs. Now that I have your attention, please consider giving to the candidates in the Florida 140 District Project. Contribute here for State Senate and Certain other candidates. Who knows, maybe we’ll get similar videos from the Gators and FL State (who’s nickname shall not be named).
The Alabama football Crimson Tide \made a moving video showing white and black players and Coach Nick Saban supporting Black Lives Matter. Here is the Twitter link:
In response, Mark Chambers, the mayor of Carbon Hill AL tweeted he was getting rid of his Tide pictures — not becasue of their performance, but: Their sorry ass political views is the reason I'm getting them out of the house.
Chambers is no longer mayor, having resigned.
Permit me to link myself from the months leading up to the Moore-Jones election in November -December 2017:
Dear Coach Saban: Please do the Right Thing for Alabama, Your Players and Decent People Everywhere; and
Last Chance for Coach Nick Saban to Save Alabama from Shame and Disgrace
People eventually catch up to Bethesda 1971.
Doug Jones won without Coach Saban’s support. But now, these coaches are realizing if they want to recruit players of color, they better get on board, and the players know it too. Saban’s success has been attributable to the African American players he has recruited for his teams. Up to 80% of Alabama's starting football players are African American.
I wonder which Senatorial candidate in AL will be supporing BLM?
