It’s the end of the month (coming soon) and I am again having trouble meeting it. I’d really rather be making stuff, but as long as my income remains limited, I’ll need to periodically reach out for help. I ended my previous diary & started this one with $210 $90 $45 $0 — I’ve got ‘em covered! to go finish off the end-of-month expenses (btw, it’s funny how once the energy runs out of a diary, you can’t get it back again ;) hence this one).
Thanks to everyone who helped with the last diary, I was able to cover the first few bills in the stack. I’m needing this help to cover the remaining bills and groceries for the week.
As many of you know, I run an arts & crafts business that provides most of my earned income. I have other facets of my creative business that provide a boost when they happen, but it’s usually very few and far between. But … the sales often don’t stretch far enough to keep the roof over my head. I do have some relatively good news (finally) — I’m starting a new online job that eventually will provide some regular weekly income (yay!) except it’s a writing gig, which those who know me also know is not how I want to spend my time (boo). However, I still need to reach out now because the first payment for this gig won’t come in for another 10 days or so. And the bills are due well before then
Here are the immediate ways to help, along with my preferred long-term solution I would really love to see manifest:
PayPal is burchjan atgmail dotcom (friends and family, please); purchases using PayPal from my Zibbet shop and "coffee" through Ko-Fi will also help.
… and to help solve the long-term problem, please consider supporting my Patreon page — Patreon is like “Act Blue” for artists, and is really the best way of helping now and in the months to come!
Fyi — my Zibbet shop is where I sell my arts & crafts. My tag line is “I make beautiful things that make people happy” and your support helps me keep on doing that! Using PayPal when you check out with your order will get the funds to me immediately so I can count them towards this goal; other methods can take as long as a week or more. Here’s a sample of the items I have for sale:
Fyi, for those who want to know How I Got Here: Let me refer you to this diary, wherein I detail the backstory about my precarious financial situation. Also, for those who have questions about this type of diary — just so you know, fundraiser diaries are long-standing tradition on DKos, and it is the project of several groups and many individuals to support them. For more information about how the process works, see under the Community Links posts in the Friday morning diaries of The Village group.
As always, my thanks to those who’ve helped and continue to help — even with tips, recs, shares, and good wishes. I know I’ve probably made bad choices in the past, but since I can’t go back and change it, I can only go forward. And I need a lot of help to do that :)

3:10 pm: I’m having a lot of problems with my internet (curse you, CenturyLink!) so I may not be online very much today. Hopefully some folks can help my diary going for a while, and I will check in when I can :)
And I really hope C-Link gets their act together and fixes it! It’s been acting terrible for over a week now, and today it’s really bad. Very hard to work online when your internet keeps dropping out! /end rant ;)

Midnight post: Thanks to some help that came in this evening, I’ve got everything covered and plenty for the week’s groceries! Many thanks, as always, to everyone who helped, including those kept the diary going while I was struggling with a disobedient Internet connection …
Another bit of good news, I was able to fix my Internet problem, after a little chat with Century Link’s repair folks. It was relatively simple & didn’t cost anything, which is always a plus!
Once again, LuvLee really appreciate all of your support and tips, recs, shares, and good wishes!
