Last night Jason Chaffetz reminded me once again of my reasons for challenging him in the 3rd Congressioinal District of UT when he suggested that President Obama’s pension be subject to review due to his $400,000 speaking fee.
Although he stated he isn’t running in 2018, his words are utterly unreliable. To make sure neither he nor his clone is elected, I still need your help, Daily Kos readers. Please donate to my campaign: drkathieforcongress.com. Here are some of the many reasons I am continuing to stand up to him:
*Tone deafness: On the eve of a vote that may remove millions of people from affordable healthcare, he chooses to focus on a non-issue.
*Hypocrisy: How does it fail to register that his 12 year old foot condition was just corrected without his having to worry about whether or not it was pre-existing? The list of things he has said and done that are utterly hypocritical is too long for a short article.
*Ignorance: Does he not realize that every ex-president commands large speaking fees? Did he not read about the $2 million dollar donation the Obamas just made to a Chicago charity?
*Diversion: On a day in which we were reminded that it was Chaffetz, not Comey, who released the infamous letter about HRC’s emails, he complains about Obama’s speaking fees? We all suspect he has much bigger things to worry about. He is just taking a page out of Trump’s playbook. When the scorching heat is getting too much to bear, fire off a Weapon of Mass Distraction.
*Failure to do his job: Now that he is back in Congress after he had a few extra screws loosened, he still isn’t interested in investigating Russia.
*And a new one: Inherent racism. We are not hearing anything about Ronald Reagan’s multimillion dollar speaking fees. Why would that be?
Did I leave any out?
