Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has long been something of a creep as a Democrat. She’s big on being someone whose only Democratic credentials is that she checked off “Dem” after her driver’s license test back in the 1950s. The fact of the matter is she was a victory for activists when she said she would vote against Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. Think about that for a minute. Jeff Sessions may go down as the single worst result of this election when all is said and done, and Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein had to be convinced of it. Sen. Feinstein is doing her own town halls and the reception she is getting from her constituents is about the same as any elected official not listening to their voters. When asked about what she would do to move forward with a single payer healthcare system to improve upon the Affordable Care Act, Sen. Feinstein said this pathetic thing.
Feinstein: If by ‘single payer’ you mean that it’s going to be a complete takeover by the government, of healthcare, then I am not there.
That was met with an amazing amount of boos and jeers from the hall. Sen. Feinstein tried to salvage this by babbling around, explaining that our healthcare insurance system is a problem (yup, that’s why people want it fixed, senator), and after trying to bore the crowd into forgetting what she was talking about someone from the audience got her back on track by yelling out “SELL OUT!” Watch below.
