I told you this internal investigation could become it's own new Christie scandal! From the Times Union:
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey legislative committee investigating a political payback operation carried out by Gov. Chris Christie's associates plans to subpoena documents and interviews from the governor's lawyers.
Assemblyman John Wisniewski says lawyers retained by the Christie administration to conduct an internal investigation appeared to have access to information that the committee has not seen.
Wisniewski says the additional subpoenas will be discussed as soon as the committee can be convened.

The Christie gang is starting to look like amateur hour. When taxpayer-funded bogus probes designed to exonerate oneself wind up revealing details that you're trying to hide...you're kind of pathetic. And desperate.
Do not pass 'Go', Mr. Christie.
Update 1:
In the comments, AnnetteK discovers a mind-blowing flaw in the internal probe; from WNYC:
The team hired by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to investigate the politically-motivated lane closures at the George Washington Bridge did not interview any employees of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the bi-state agency that executed the lane closure. Other than key bridgegate figures David Wildstein and Bill Baroni, none of them were even asked.
That includes Port Authority executive director Pat Foye, whose emails figure significantly in the unraveling of the Bridgegate scandal.

You read that right - zero, ZERO Port Authority employees questioned in the fake investigation.
