Well, this found a new home with the 3rd lady who had a good door prize ticket at the meeting today. She wanted it rather than anything in the bag, and it was a good decision. I liked the bright colors and hope it cheers up her home, where ever she puts it.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Here is the 2nd one I made last week. I showed it here in the comments but am running it out again. Ej liked it so much that we made a deal for it and I am sending it to her maybe tomorrow. I am so pleased she likes it that much.
I have started a new sign for Halloween that I had hoped to show tonight but the guild meeting took most of the day and I am proceeding slowly with this one since I have no guiding video for it. So I will have to post sometime later, when it is finished.
While working on these signs, I am using craft supplies from long ago and keep finding them dried up. No kidding, they don’t last forever! Damn! I guess I am not the only thing getting old. I had some aleen’s tacky glue that I wanted to use in the current attempt and it was like a sticky golf ball. I have to get some more and also throw out a lot of stuff in the adhesives box. I am glad I sent so much craft stuff out to others a few years ago before it all went bad. The stamps are good, the ink pads are iffy. The brushes and paint sponges are good, the paints, not so much. The paper lasts. Mostly what stays fresh is the “kitchen magic” tricks I learned long ago that still work today.
I often think that quilting is a lot like doing stained glass in that you cut up large pieces of color and reassemble them into a picture but you seldom get cut doing quilts and the pieces don’t explode if dropped on the floor.
Take care of yourselves.
