<title>I have a question for &#x22;The Community&#x22;...</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2020/12/21/2003288/-I-have-a-question-for-The-Community</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I have been silenced once each of the last two days by &#x201C;The Community&#x201D; for &#x201C;violating the rules&#x201D; in a comment I submitted. I shall not repeat the comments because the snark in them may have triggered the action. I worry that they were removed because suspecting the worst from Republicans is being construed as CT.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Am I allowed to assume that the Republicans are guilty of everything they accuse their opponents of, or is that CT? Am I allowed to assume that they, individually and collectively, do things just for the sheer&#x26;nbsp;malicious pleasure of it, or is that CT?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x201C;The Rules&#x201D; are vague and varied. Having a deus ex machina take down my comment without explanation is just bigfooting.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>I have a few questions...</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2020/9/23/1897248/-I-have-a-few-questions</link>
<description>&#x3C;p class=&#x22;is-empty-p&#x22; style=&#x22;text-align:center&#x22;&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;My friend Barby took the picture above. It is hanging on my wall to remind me of the magnitude of our loss. Those two buildings in the background appear to scale in relation to the lady in the foreground. I have some questions about their relative importance, and I believe everyone but the American public knows the answers.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;My questions are:&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;1. How is it possible that Trump&#x2019;s tax returns have not been leaked?&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;2. What exactly did the Russians&#x26;nbsp;do to us in 2016?&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;Putin&#x26;nbsp;knows the answer to both of those questions but we don&#x2019;t. Our intelligence agencies, Russian intelligence, Israeli intelligence and many others too numerous to count know the answers, have all seen those tax returns, but we haven&#x2019;t!&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;At this point, I would like the appropriate House Committee to allow former President Barack Obama to explain to all of us what part foreign interference played in the 2016 election cycle. We owe him much, but he owes us this. I was&#x26;nbsp;also hoping that someone would&#x26;nbsp;pay the appropriate psyops operative for those tax returns, though I&#x2019;m hoping that is our October surprise.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Also, this from Wendy in FL:&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://runforsomething.net/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;runforsomething.net&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>It&#x27;s not just Scientific American breaking new editorial ground.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2020/9/17/1978255/-It-s-not-just-Scientific-American-breaking-new-editorial-ground</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;u&#x3E;Wired Magazine&#x3C;/u&#x3E; interviews &#x3C;u&#x3E;Science Magazine&#x3C;/u&#x3E; editor about his scathing Trump editorial here&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.wired.com/story/americas-top-science-journal-has-had-it-with-trump/?utm_source=onsite-share&#x26;amp;utm_medium=email&#x26;amp;utm_campaign=onsite-share&#x26;amp;utm_brand=wired&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;www.wired.com/&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x2026;&#x26;nbsp;I was deeply moved by this:&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span style=&#x22;text-align:start&#x22;&#x3E;You know, the people I write for are the people who have been working in the lab for 14, 18 hours a day, trying to find a vaccine or an antibody or something about the immune response to the virus. They go home, they&#x2019;re exhausted, they turn on the news, and their president is on TV saying the opposite of what they&#x2019;re finding, and trying to imply that somehow they&#x27;re hurting the world by doing what they&#x27;re doing. So my editorials are meant to give voice to those valiant souls, who are the ones who are going to get us out of all this.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The image is my friend Barby, who caught the virus in a nursing home and passed away on May 1.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Update: Gottacook has graciously provided a link to the editorial in his comment below.&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;All research and commentary on COVID published by &#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;em&#x3E;Science&#x3C;/em&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;is freely available at &#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.sciencemag.org/collections/coronavirus?intcmp=sci_cov&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;www.sciencemag.org/&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;&#x2026; The first item (because it&#x2019;s the most recent) is the current editorial. &#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Thank you gottacook, and all of you who expressed your sympathy and support.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>The dog that has not barked.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2019/12/18/1906419/-The-dog-that-has-not-barked</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;My colleagues and I are amazed that Trump&#x2019;s tax returns have not been leaked. He has alienated the entire federal intelligence community, and yet he is able to keep the most easily-accessible information (like his academic record) secret. How is it possible? Perhaps they are waiting for next October. It would be a lovely October surprise.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
