My friend and ally in this critical fight for justice, Sen. Raphael Warnock, is up for reelection next year – and right now, he needs our urgent help to defend his Democratic seat in Georgia. Let me explain.
Just three short years ago, Raphael invited me to speak at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he is the senior pastor and preaches from the same pulpit as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was an outstanding public servant back then – and he is now. Raphael is Georgia's first Black senator in history – the only other Black Democrat in the Senate besides myself – and his runoff win helped us take back the majority and usher in a new era of moral leadership. Our country needs more people like him in Washington.
But there's a big problem: Senate Republicans need to flip only one seat to retake control for Mitch McConnell, and Raphael is a TOP target for defeat. With the GOP gearing up to spend millions to defeat his people-powered campaign, he needs your immediate grassroots support to fight back. That's why I'm personally asking, Sam:

We've put forward a sweeping voting rights bill to protect our democracy. And we're turning the page on the cruelty and shortsightedness of the last four years.
