SOO LINE

My grandfather worked on the SOO LINE for 50 years, and on long stretches used to literally "sack out" in the Mail car -- by federal regulation it was still made of wood in those days, nice easy vibes. On one fateful occasion, because a big dog was being shipped in a cage, the Mail car was a howling puking shitting mess, so he found a place to rest in one of the standard metal cars. Anyway, there was a fateful incident. He was injured but survived. The dog was killed, flatter than a pancake. Thanks (in part) to a dog, and so then my father, I'm the teller of this tale.
