A progressive group, Indivisible Georgia 11 for a Better GA PAC has been raising funds to cover both printing and postage expenses for the members of Indivisible Georgia 11 to write postcards to encourage Georgia voters to get out and vote against anti abortion politicians. Both women and feminists are volunteering to write postcards for this Roe Roe Roe the Vote campaign and they are targeting young Georgia voters from 18-35 years of age across party lines who will be impacted the most by these barbaric abortion laws.
The recent Kansas Primary results had voters deciding to keep abortion legal by rejecting the state amendment. 59% of the voters voted to protect and defend their abortion rights. This was just a snapshot and a strong indicator that the majority of Americans believe that abortion should be accessible, safe and legal for Kansas residents. Kansas Primary Voting Results
Kansas is a red-state where Trump carried the state by 18 points in 2020. Once Trump Counties voted to protect abortion rights. Kansas voters came out in record numbers and crossed party lines to protect and defend abortion rights with an overwhelming 922,000 votes. That is nearly double the total amount of voters compared to the 2018 midterm primaries.
Kansas should be an indicator for the rest of the nation where voters stand on abortion issues and how it’ll impact swing states like Georgia in the upcoming mid term elections. Georgia becomes a swing state again in 2022. States like Georgia where Democratic Governor candidate Stacy Abrams has a realistic shot at defeating incumbent Republican Governor Bryan Kemp if Georgia pro choice voters get out and vote. This is also the same state where both Senator Jon Ossoff and Senator Raphael Warnock beat Republican Senators in 2020 to take the Senate majority in Washington. Senator Warnock is back on the ballot in 2022 to defend his seat against University of Georgia football player and Trump supported, Republican Senate candidate Hershel Walker.
Will abortion rights matter to Georgia voters? Will Georgia voters say NO to anti abortion candidates on the November 8, 2022 ballot? Georgia was one of the first states to pass legislation with strict abortion laws in 2019. Georgia’s “heart beat bill” will become legal after the US Supreme Court over turned Roe vs Wade. Heartbeat Ban will take effect. Georgia has already identified an embryo after 6 weeks as a “living person” so that Georgia tax payers can earn a $3,000 child tax credit before they are even born. Embryo is now a living person after 6 weeks in Georgia for child tax credit.
The only way to ban these barbaric abortion laws is to defeat the anti abortion politicians and to send a loud, clear message from women, feminists and voters across party lines in this upcoming midterm election on November 8, 2022. Indivisible Georgia 11 volunteers will write postcards to voters to encourage them to Roe Roe Roe the Vote and get out the vote for progressive candidates at the Federal, State and local level all the way #downtheballot.
