I am going to expend the energy and effort to chronicle the utter absurdity and dysfunctionality of the American beltway media one more time this year and then gratefully leave it. It’s very important to understand these charlatans are accountable to absolutely no one, they’ll effortlessly ignore this and the many other stories basically identical to it and remain totally unchanged in their malodorous, stupid behavior.
Keep at it constantly and one eventually becomes a yapping crank, futilely trying to initiate change as if attempting to stop the rotation of the earth. But attention and correct interpretation to beltway media is critically important to good citizenship, politics and mental health, warranting one more look for 2022.
It is a plain fact of the universe as there is water in the oceans American beltway media coverage of Election 2022 was another rank ridiculous failure. They giddily hyped a huge Republican win, obsessively focused on the economy with stupid simplicity and ruthlessly speared John Fetterman, while haplessly duped by polling. Again.
How much damage did they do? One of the reasons these fools are unaccountable is that their damage and harm is always completely unquantifiable, they truly animated Republicans with gleeful excitement at crushing the filthy liberals and greatly discouraged Democrats. How many races did that cost Democrats? No way to tell, never will be, but there was an effect, absolutely.
One of the reasons I subscribe to the Washington Post is that in their twisted, malformed way of “balanced” journalism seriously good and deserving-of-total-respect journalists and columnists work there: Jennifer Rubin, EJ Dionne, Erik Wemple and Dana Milbank, to name a few.
The Washington Post is a total member of the beltway club of fuckup, no doubt of that, but enough truth still shimmers through to warrant a subscription. The New York Times, biggest loser in the gang, does not. It’s another plain fact of our world that something has gone seriously wrong at the New York Times political desk, after a story on Hunter Biden’s lawyer I couldn’t stop the gagging and hurriedly canceled my subscription.
So another election year coverage challenge is completely riddled with failure and embarrassment, and good Washington Post journalist Erik Wemple meticulously outlines all the failures and asks for quotes from journalist management why they screwed it up so badly. Again.
Get this, they totally deny it, the sky is green, Richard Nixon was a hippie liberal and Donald Trump never lies, yeah, American, we will stand before you and in all alleged seriousness lie straight to your face about how stupid and regressive we are.
Matea Gold of the Washington Post:
“Our mission is to examine the shifting terrain of national politics and how both parties and individual candidates respond to unexpected developments. Our deeply reported coverage captured the anxiety inside campaigns and among political strategists across the board as they tried to assess the intention of voters and calibrated their approaches. We’re proud that our stories illuminated those forces in real time.”
Yeah you illuminated those forces in real time, you offensive journalism jackass, you just left out how you illuminated the Republicans were going to crush it.
Way to go, Matea, all the nurturing of your family, the dedication of your professors, the protection of the country, the inheritance of the enlightenment and duty to journalism, all of it heaved out the window for the face plant of shit you just dumped on all of us.
There is no mechanism to hold you accountable for the gaslighting lying, I truly resent having to check my senses after your quote, but today I will. You and your beltway buddies–including that virulently disgusting White House Press Corps–are a terribly harmful force to the little people, your failures are as plain as the sun despite all the lying, you possess no ability to change, and your arrogance is a nauseating knife of existence.
Fuck you, Matea, I am a real American who lives with the truth, you dare to speak to me or any little person like that, god.
Politics, as Amanda Marcotte recently reminded us, can be a filthy world, obviously, I am a cyclical vomiting syndrome patient on a fade after 20 years, 3 days after the election I puked all day, stress aggravates it. At Election 2020 I was sick 3 times in 20 days.
[shrugs] One can see why I engage with my friend Matea cautiously, as I advise all little people when taking in American beltway media, use great caution, skepticism and many sources to become informed, they are unbelievably arrogant, stupid, regressive and never to be fully trusted.
