In the wake of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealing that she feared sexual violence would be done to her during the Capitol Riot (and Tucker Carlson mocking those very legitimate fears), I found this video of the piece of dirt accusing Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. of making a “mockery” of American military personnel. I’ll just let the video speak for itself.
And here is news coverage of the Pentagon, active-duty military personnel, and military veterans responding to Tucker’s misogyny.
There is a Disney Princess character who, because of misogynist laws, had to disguise as a man (and engage in civil disobedience in the process when you think about it) in order to take her ailing father’s place. Some of us here on Daily Kos already knew the identity of the princess in question, because it was discovered and exposed by BuzzFeed in 2016 (and reposted here and here on Daily Kos in 2017) that Mike Pence directed a misogynistic attack at that particular princess in 1999, but for those here on Daily Kos who were unaware of Pence’s sexist 1999 op-ed till now, I’ll give the name of that princess: Mulan. And I would dare Tucker to call Mulan a mockery.
Here is a clip of the Imperial Palace battle sequence in the 1998 cartoon, which shows Shan Yu (voiced by Miguel Ferrer) appearing to only see Mulan (speaking voice by Ming-Na Wen, singing voice by Lea Salonga) as just another enemy soldier upon recognizing her as the Imperial soldier who practically wiped out Shan Yu’s 2,000-person Hun Army with an avalanche and only left Shan Yu and five of his top lieutenants surviving.
And here is a clip that shows Li Shang (speaking voice by B. D. Wong, singing voice by Donny Osmond) overcoming his earlier misogynistic beliefs about Mulan and trying to make Chi-Fu (voiced by James Hong) realize that Mulan did a service for China, only to have the Emperor (voiced by Pat Morita) walk up and overcome his own similar misogynistic beliefs.
So I can imagine Shan Yu looking down on Mike Pence and Tucker Carlson.
And if you watch Star Trek, you’ll notice that men and women representing the United Federation of Planets as Starfleet personnel serve together on Federation starships (like the NCC-1701 Enterprise) with no problem whatsoever, so I would also dare Tucker to call women in Starfleet a mockery of Starfleet personnel.
Here is a clip from the DS9 “Way of the Warrior” episode showing Gowron (Robert O’Reilly), Martok (J. G. Hertzler), and a fleet of Klingon starships attacking the show’s eponymous starbase. Near the end of the clip, you can see Starfleet Lt. Cmdr. Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell) wielding a Bat’leth blade.
