In a special report this morning on CBS News, Ted Koppel discussed the secret presidential emergency powers declared in Presidential Emergency Action Documents, which are so secret no member of Congress has seen them. This is a must-see video. Under these secret documents Trump has power to declare yet another national emergency (he’s declared seven so far); suspend the constitution; cancel the elections; and declare himself president for life.
No shit! Who knows what the reaction would be?
Update: I’ve been a stamp collector since childhood. I now have a very good U.S. stamp collection worth more than $50k, mostly from the late 1800s. Tonight I kept looking at all my old, dear stamps in the light of Trump’s attack on the Post Office. There is no end to my anger.
Of course, let me rush to say that I’m MUCH more concerned about the delaying of medicines (that includes me) and ballots (that also includes me).
The Post Office is enshrined in the Constitution. There is no end to my anger that a monster like Trump would threaten to kill it!!
