Today, Daily Kos Founder and Publisher Markos Moulitsas announced the results of the organization’s latest Democratic presidential straw poll of the 2020 cycle. You can view the straw poll here and check out the full results here. With over 63,000 votes cast, this week’s poll brought record participation among the nation’s largest online progressive community.
“In the first Daily Kos presidential straw poll since the inaugural Democratic primary debate, Sen. Elizabeth Warren came out on top--her second consecutive win in this survey,” said Moulitsas. “Warren’s 29% showing edged out Sen. Bernie Sanders, who maintained with 25% of the vote. But Sen. Kamala Harris boasts the biggest shift in numbers this week, surging 12 points to 19% and leapfrogging Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg in the process. Meanwhile, the other 15 candidates who participated in the debates brought in only about 13% of the vote combined.”
Daily Kos runs these straw polls every two weeks to track the preferences of the millions of progressives we reach every day.
Daily Kos is the nation's foremost online progressive media and activism hub and leads the way in supporting Democrats across the country, raising over $8.7 million for candidates and campaigns in small, grassroots donations in 2017-2018. We are continuing this crucial work into the 2020 cycle.
