Remember House Speaker Paul Ryan's school secretary from Lancaster, Pennsylvania? The one he tweeted about and then deleted after being dragged for half a day on Twitter? School secretary Julia Ketchum was not impressed when CBS News tracked her down for a comment.
"I'm really surprised, actually, because the paragraph above […] my quote, and the paragraph below my quote, those folks got hundreds more. Hundreds. And I get $1.50 per paycheck more, so it shows me he might not have read the whole article."
Ya think? Here's the article that Ryan so gleefully—and cluelessly—touted. And yes, the other people quoted were getting $200 and $300 in their paycheck.
And what Ryan picked from that story was her sarcastic comment that $1.50 a paycheck would cover her Coscto membership? Ryan’s not only out of touch with the reality of people’s lives, he’s too dim to recognize a sarcasm when he hears one.
