Campaign Action
Fox News is a mouthpiece for right-wing charlatanism. The people you see on air are considerably more interested in making money for themselves and the person they see in the mirror every day than they are about providing any information. I would not be surprised if some of them stand in the voting booth and just write their own names in. A few months back I spent a couple of weeks watching far too much Fox News programming. By the end of that time I knew a couple of things: 1) I should probably buy gold and stick it under my mattress at home and 2) Dana Perino fucking hates working at Fox. Watching her on The Five or her random appearances on The O’Reilly Factor are like like watching a kid being forced to eat chicken liver with the promise of ice cream for dessert. Somewhere during that time the person sitting there has the distinct look on their face that says this isn’t worth it, is it?
This happened on The Five yesterday: Eric Boiling, probably best known for being as dumb as a brick tries to say that the polling around Trump and Hillary is wrong and that the size of the crowds are the way to go, Dana Perino’s brain explodes as she realizes that she is neck deep in a ship drowning in manure:
It is a real disservice to his supporters to lie to them that those polls don’t matter. You can not take 12,000 people at a rally that are your definite supporters they are going to show up for the campaign and then say the polls are wrong.
You can watch the interaction here.
This didn’t sit well with Perino and later that night, Dana Perino pulled out the cork from the bottle of pent up anger and went in on Fox on Twitter.
Don’t worry, she’s still a Fox pundit and will humble brag.
A Pragmatic Snob? No, there isn’t such a thing. But please go on about Fox.
