Yes, I have copy and pasted the info from the ShelterBox website...shelterboxusa.org/…
If you don’t know about them you can go to the link above. We here at the Daily Kos have been great supporters of people iin a time of great need. We help our own here in this community. We fuss and fight for the candidates that can get the most done for those who are in great need. This is about who we are as Americans, as progressives. During the huge disaster that was the Haitian crisis, bloggers donated, shared, tweeted, blogged about it on thier own blog. All of which has been hugely helpful. Because ShelterBox is a Rotary project many Rotarians know about it’s great work but much of the general public does not! So promoting them is very helpful in putting them in front of some one who can and wants to help.
UPDATE: Ecuador has formally requested international aid. ShelterBox will be sending an assessment team into Ecuador to establish that a deployment is feasible, appropriate and safe. Prepositioned aid is available in Colombia, Bolivia and Panama if a deployment is activated. The latest in a spate of major earthquakes worldwide struck the South American country of Ecuador last night around 7pm US time, near the northern town of Muisne. A 7.8 magnitude quake at a shallow 12 miles, it has left at least 77 people dead
I am still trying to figure out how to use the new site appologies for the quality. :*
