Gun safety tip - always check to see if it is loaded BEFORE you squeeze
In all fairness, the clerk handed him a loaded gun and the officer wasn't aware it was loaded. When you watch the video, you'll notice two other shoppers that are incredibly lucky not to have been
shot as well:
A Kentucky police officer is suing a gun store after he accidentally shoots himself in the hand. The shot was caught on camera.
Surveillance video shows the officer checking out a handgun inside a sporting goods store. The clerk hands him the gun, the officer inspects it for a moment and pulls the trigger, shooting himself in the hand.
The officer lost a finger and badly mangled another. It's a wonder the bullet didn't hit the other two shoppers.
