Don’t even think about it, reporters. Paul Ryan is not talking to you, so sit down and shut your mouths. It’s not like there’s anything happening in the political world the public might want to hear from the speaker of the House about anyway, right?
Is there any reporter ready to find out if Ryan will go as far as Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price and have a reporter arrested for daring to shout out a question at him?
Among the things Ryan won’t be letting reporters ask about is House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s call for legislation creating an "an outside, independent commission" on Trump’s Russia ties.
Speaker Ryan must call up this legislation immediately upon our return next week. If Republicans continue to work to hide the truth from the American people, it will be necessary for Democrats to file a discharge petition to force a vote on the Swalwell-Cummings measure.
If the President has nothing to hide, then he should welcome the creation of a commission providing an independent investigation to remove all doubt of a coverup.
Never say Pelosi doesn’t have a sense of humor. Ryan, on the other hand, lacks not just a sense of humor but a sense of decency—along with the courage to take routine questions from reporters, obviously.
