So we’ve seen a lot of diaries on the Rec list lately arguing why Bernie should be the nominee. The community straw polls (which haven’t happened lately) saw that a large majority of us are indeed “feeling the Bern.”
But aside from giving money, what’s the best way to help make a difference? If you have the time, you can get a ride to an important state to help GOTV, find a place to stay, and go canvass! If you can’t do that, try phonebanking!

Here’s what else you can do: first, Rec this diary so that activism tools are at the top of the list. This site’s motto used to be “News, Community, Action” right? Well, this is the action part, and at this point, it’s much more important than another reason not to vote for Hillary.
Share this post on Facebook, Twitter, ect to make sure your fellow Bernie Fans know how to get involved.
Finally — let’s use the same honor system as the Ice Bucket challenge. If you support Bernie and you don’t want to (or are unable to) phone bank or canvass, please chip in an extra $5 right now to help support those who will be taking on that activism. One less cup of coffee, that’s worth it to hear the phrase “Bernie Sanders Wins Nevada Caucus,” am I right?
This hard work organizing in the primary will pay off in the general election. After huge organizing on both sides during the 2008 Democratic primary, Democrats not only did well in the Presidential contest, but won huge in House, Senate, and State-level races. We are helping to re-build the party one voter at a time.
Please leave a comment letting us know if you plan on donating, canvassing, or phonebanking. And thanks in advance to all my fellow Bernie supporters for their generosity and hard work.
